Our domestic service agency in Madrid is dedicated to providing highly personalized attention, tailored to the individual needs of each client. We advise you in the search and selection for hiring internal employees, external employees (full-time, part-time or hourly), caregivers for the elderly, nannies, chauffeurs, gardeners, married couples and caretakers. How much does a domestic helper earn?
The 2024 salary table for domestic employeesestablishes that a domestic employee working 40 hours a week may not receive a salary of less than 15,876 euros per year. That is, 1,134 euros per month in 14 payments per year or 1,323 euros in 12 payments.
What is the cost of Social Security for a domestic staff?
The social security contribution of a domestic helper is calculated by applying a contribution base determined by the total monthly salary, according to the table of social security contribution ranges in effect. The employer is responsible for paying Social Security contributions.
How many vacation days is the domestic helper entitled to?
Any person working in domestic service is entitled to 2.5 days of vacations per month worked even if he/she has not completed one year of work. Vacation days must be taken between January 1 and December 31 of each year in which they are earned.
How to interview a domestic helper?
As part of our work as a domestic service agency, we instruct our clients on the importance of the personal interview. We recommend conducting the interview with the candidate at your home so that she can understand the location, size and even meet the children, if applicable. Detail what her main tasks would be and inquire about their skills in doing them. Inform her of salary conditions, working hours, etc.
How to register a domestic helper?
The registration of a domestic staff can be processed through Import@ss, the new portal of the Tesorería General de la Seguridad Social. For this, it will be necessary to identify yourself through an electronic Certificate, permanent Cl@ve, Cl@ve pin or via SMS. It is important to have in hand the employee's data, the employer's data, the duration of the contract and the type of contract (indefinite or fixed-term), the working day and the agreed salary, the address of the activity, the insurance company (INSS or a collaborating mutual insurance company), the employer's contact data and the direct debit.
