What a private driver costs in 2026
A driver's salary starts above the sector floor and varies with experience, availability and the duties of the role, always equal to or above the 2026 SMI plus Social Security. Available full time, by the hour and as a mixed driver-handyman profile. We will give you the exact figure, no obligation.
A driver's contract must be put in writing from day one. The maximum working week is 40 hours of effective work, with 36 consecutive hours of weekly rest.

The minimum legal full-time (40h) salary in 2026 is €1,424.50 gross/month over 12 payments (equivalent to €1,221/month over 14 payments; €17,094/year), per the 2026 SMI, although a driver usually sits above that floor.They must be registered in the Special System for Domestic Employees of the General Regime from day one.

Yes. We have drivers full time, by the hour for one-off transfers, and with flexible availability for trips and long journeys. All registered with Social Security from day one when the engagement requires it.
Yes. When the role calls for support in the day-to-day running of the property, we select mixed profiles: beyond driving and looking after the vehicles, they take care of the upkeep of the home. For these profiles we also check their maintenance experience.
Yes. Beyond driving, they keep the vehicle in top condition: cleaning, servicing, refuelling and minor tasks, and plan routes to ensure punctuality. They can also handle errands and tasks.
Yes. We check the driving licence and how long it has been held, the driving record and previous experience (for mixed profiles, maintenance experience too), as well as verifying references from previous homes.
Yes. When the driver works for the household, they must have a contract and Social Security registration from day one, whatever the schedule. We advise you on the most suitable hiring arrangement for each case.
A free replacement within the first 6 months if the driver leaves or does not settle in, in Madrid, Barcelona and Marbella. And wherever you are, if you are not satisfied during the first month, we refund 50% of the fee.
