In the Netherlands we select live-in staff only, living in the property or in accommodation provided by the family: from traditional household duties to cooking, driving, childcare, personal assistance, maintenance and running a team.
In a town home, the role may centre on organisation, children, cooking and clothes; in a larger property, it is better to share the duties among several specialists. Some families need only a live-in housekeeper; others, with a villa, garden and several vehicles, need a chef, a nanny, a chauffeur or a domestic couple.

When a candidate comes from another country, we take into account their right to work in the Netherlands and the conditions that apply to starting the role.

No. EU, EEA and Swiss nationals work there without a work permit. Others need a TWV for work of up to 90 days or a GVVA single permit for longer, and we take this into account from the start.
