How much does an hourly housekeeper cost in Madrid?
In Madrid the market runs from €10 to €15 an hour; in premium developments like La Moraleja or La Finca, at the top of that range. The 2026 legal minimum (SMI) is €9.55 an hour. On top of the rate, Social Security contributions are payable and are mandatory from the first hour: three mornings of 5 hours (15 hours a week, the minimum we work with) come to about €785–1,190 a month in total.
Do I have to register a housekeeper who only works a few hours?
Yes. There is no minimum-hours exemption: even for a few hours a week, she must have a written contract and Social Security registration from the first hour. Contributions are prorated by the hours worked, but registration is mandatory and falls to the employer. We help you with the whole process.
